Dragon Ball Z 2015 Movie Trailer, News: New Teaser Released

Dragon Ball Z

Great news for DBZ fans: a new Dragon Ball Z movie will open in Japanese theaters during Japan's "Golden Week" holiday period which will happen sometime in April or May 2015.

Unlike some of the previous theatrical releases of the massively popular superpower fiction, this upcoming Dragon Ball Z 2015 movie is "personally credited with the original concept, screenplay and character designs" by the Dragon Ball manga creator himself, Akira Toriyama.

The 59-year-old famous manga artist confirmed in Weekly Shonen Jump, that the forthcoming film will have a brand new story that will be set after the events of the previous movie (which is also credited to him) "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods." He further revealed that the plot is intended as if it were a continuation of the 1984 Dragon Ball manga serialization.

There have been rumors circulating that the full-length feature will have Vegeta the main focus of the story but according to Dragon Ball Insider, it is rather unlikely. Although, they posited that anything can happen in the story as there's still no definite information released as to what the movie will be about.

"This time will of course be a continuation of the previous Battle of Gods, but I've deliberately increased the amount of action scenes by a good deal," Toriyama said. "With regards to the contents, they told me, 'Keep it a secret!' like they're all high-and-mighty, so I can't touch on it yet, but it should be super-duper interesting!"

Meanwhile, recent news indicated the release of the movie trailer, which will be provided below. It opens with a scene where the mythical wish-granting dragon is summoned. A text appears stating: "I'd like you to revive someone."

The following scenes read another text saying: "The history's worst battle. Despair begins now."

"Dragon Ball Z" 2015 will be the 19th film adaptation of the original "Dragon Ball" manga series by Akira Toriyama serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump.
